Adele’s masterpiece “21” turned ten last 24 January and, to celebrate the legacy and anniversary of the album, the singer-songwriter shared new unpublished photos from that era on her official Instagram profile. “Happy ten years, old friend! It’s crazy how little I remember what it was like and how I felt a decade ago. But thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting us into your lives and letting me be a soundtrack to some of it, ”she wrote.
“21” broke records at the time of its release, becoming the best-selling album of 2011 and 2012 (the same achieved only happened to Michael Jackson with “Thriller”). The album had more than 30 million copies sold, and it was included in “Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Best Albums of All Time” and in the book “1001 Albums to Hear Before You Die”.
The album’s singles also did well, with “Rolling in the Deep,” “Set Fire to the Rain,” and “Someone Like You” each topping the Hot 100. 21 also earned Adele six trophies at the 54th annual Grammy Awards, including album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year. (She has a total of 15 Grammys to date.)
